ALPACA FIBER
If you want to know exactly where your alpaca fiber comes from -that it's from happy & healthy LOCAL ALPACAS, then you came to the right place!
We offer diverse alpaca colors ranging from white to grays, fawns (tans), and browns! It is professionally sheared, sorted and stored properly. We have 1st cutting (back fiber) that is locally processed into roving (which cuts a lot of the processing time out for you!) It is locally milled at Stoney Meadows Alpacas, just 10 mins away! Some of the roving we then have locally hand-spun into yarn! 2nd cutting fiber (neck & shoulders) is available raw or processed into dryer balls or rug yarn. Please note that we no longer offer raw/unprocessed 1st cutting fiber. You can purchase it as roving instead, or opt for raw 2nd cutting.

Alpaca fiber takes a whole year to grow, and is one of the most amazing natural fibers in the world! It is softer and warmer than sheep's wool, water-resistant, odor-resistant, flame-resistant, and even hypoallergenic for some! Not only that, but every fiber is hollow and holds air, which makes for a lighter, more thermal & efficient garment all the way around!
